It was a beautiful Spring day when I left Echuca to head to Daylesford on Saturday for the wedding of Sharne and David…..let’s just say it wasn’t like that in Daylesford! I count myself very, very lucky that they chose the stunning Convent Gallery to hold their wedding thus providing us with many glorious indoor locations to take photographs! Just as 6 0’clock was nearing though the sun began to stream in to the building so we quickly ducked outside to capture the glorious light as it dropped below the horizon. Poor Sharne and her bridesmaids though were so, so cold….but I think it was worth it! I’m so glad they were brave enough to venture outside for just a little bit. I cannot thank you Sharne and David enough for selecting and trusting me to be your very lucky photographer. From the dress, the location, the styling and not to mention the two of you being the most lovely couple…..it really was a wonderful day! Thank you also to my amazing assistant for the day, Jo from JRP Photography. I really couldn’t have done this one without you!
I been meaning to pop a few pages of this gorgeous Bendigo publication I do I do Creations Magazine on for ages…..I think the excitement of snaring the cover made me forget the two beautiful features I was lucky enough to have inside the magazine. Kate and Shaun and Jacki and Brad (plus super cute flower girl….my Georgia!) were my couples featured this year. Here’s just a couple of pages. If you’re able to I really recommend purchasing the magazine….so much more wonderfulness inside and so many ideas for planning a local wedding.
So excited to have the wedding of Carlin and Mark featured in this beautiful online publication. I shot this gorgeous wedding in October last year and not only was it a perfect day with a wonderful couple, but it was my 100th wedding so it’s extra special for me! Carlin and Mark’s wedding begins on page 77 but the entire magazine is well worth a read….lots of wonderful ideas and gorgeous things to look at.
Laden with props on another glorious Spring afternoon we headed out to photograph Danielle and Brent to mark their engagement. When we first spoke, Danielle mentioned her theme was a little vintagey so we tossed around ideas of having a quaint little tea party….along with a lot of fun and laughter for their session. I think it worked a treat…..and so did the neighbours puppy who came along to visit and try and steal cupcakes! A big thank you to Stride events for supplying the table and cute cake holder….a wonderful local event hire and styling business.
I felt like it was my first day at work all over again with the first wedding of the new wedding season. Even though this is my 5th year full time I still had the nerves and butterfiles that go with the first time! It all melted away though as the day unfolded into the most glorious Spring day ever filled with so much fun and laughter. Mel and Marty you are so wonderfully at ease and in tune with each and your beautiful children. You were all such a pleasure to be around! I guess being parents already gives you that more relaxed approach that allows you to look at most things with a laugh and a smile! I love the way you retaliated when rice was thrown down your top Mel….you simply scooped it out and threw it straight back! Little Nairee was also a hightlight of the day….such a little scene stealer! I love that she told all the guests during the ceremony to be quiet when they started laughing during a funny reading and then tried to take the microphone from the celebrant….”My turn now!” Too funny!! So if Mel and Marty’s wedding has set the tone for this wedding season….it’s going to be a good one! Thanks also to Ildiko of Ildiko Gagyor Photography – Bendigo for coming along and assisting and 2nd shooting for me. You were wonderful!
