I felt like it was my first day at work all over again with the first wedding of the new wedding season. Even though this is my 5th year full time I still had the nerves and butterfiles that go with the first time! It all melted away though as the day unfolded into the most glorious Spring day ever filled with so much fun and laughter. Mel and Marty you are so wonderfully at ease and in tune with each and your beautiful children. You were all such a pleasure to be around! I guess being parents already gives you that more relaxed approach that allows you to look at most things with a laugh and a smile! I love the way you retaliated when rice was thrown down your top Mel….you simply scooped it out and threw it straight back! Little Nairee was also a hightlight of the day….such a little scene stealer! I love that she told all the guests during the ceremony to be quiet when they started laughing during a funny reading and then tried to take the microphone from the celebrant….”My turn now!” Too funny!! So if Mel and Marty’s wedding has set the tone for this wedding season….it’s going to be a good one! Thanks also to Ildiko of Ildiko Gagyor Photography – Bendigo for coming along and assisting and 2nd shooting for me. You were wonderful!
Once again I was lucky enough to have Christina from Popular Treats http://www.populartreats.com.au/ ask me to take some product shots of her delicious cake pops and push up pops. I say lucky because not only are they are beautiful product to photograph but my family and I have a huge box of treats to enjoy once the shooting is over….sugar high anyone! You should have seen little Georgia and Mackenzie’s face light up when they saw the box full of cakes that they were going to get to eat….any little person’s dream come true! 🙂
It was so wonderful to finally get together with Jessie and her gorgeous family after trying for about a year! You really do have four of the best looking kids ever, and so easy to work with…..although I couldn’t get much of smile out of one of them….can you guess who? 😉 Thanks for waiting so long and for believing in my work enough to do so.
I was so happy that Carlin came to have her pregnancy photographs taken with me. I was lucky enough to also photograph her wedding to Mark and it was great to see them all again, especially Ryder who had grown so much. Once he warmed up he really loved being in front of the camera too….and was even still coming up with new poses as he was meant to be getting into the car to go home! Carlin also mentioned that she had liked my recent ballet series so we had to do some of her in the same location…she was even game enough to strike a few dance poses! So funny! I really look forward to hearing your impending news very soon!!
There is possibly only one word to describe the one hour time block we used for Ella and Mitchell’s Deb photos……wet…..very wet. Thanks to the lovely Emma of Articulate Hair though we were able to sneak into her beautiful salon for a few shots and then it was out into the rain with some big umbrellas. Ella and Mitchell were both so happy and obliging though and were not going to let a little rain spoil their fun! Ella was so stunning though the weather conditions weren’t going to stop her looking amazing in her photos. She was vintage, Hollywood glamour all the way! Thanks for asking me to capture this very special time.
